Sometimes the stars align perfectly. For Shannon, it was when she walked into the lobby of Lumina Las Vegas for the very first time.

“My first impression was, I’m going to be a part of this amazing community!” And luckily that came to be, because Shannon is definitely a people person who has always gravitated toward seniors. “I love being a great support system for families going through all that cognitive disease brings to their loved one,” she says.

For Shannon, Solera Senior Living’s core values are just as important in life as they are to the Lumina in Las Vegas family. “With communication, you find creativity, commitment, and compassion to share with others.” She brings experience both in senior living and as an event director. Educational achievements include Medical Terminology, Medical front and back office, and Pharmacy Technician.

When she has a free moment, Shannon likes to be around family and friends, discover unique restaurants and go places she’s never been. Also crafting, decorating and rehabbing furniture. And don’t forget dancing in the kitchen to favorite music while she and her daughters create fun meals with a twist. “After all, kitchens are made for dancing!” says Shannon.

Perfect vacation? Chasing her roots to Ireland, and then venturing off to Switzerland to see the northern lights. (And maybe a few more stars.)
