Shanita Hodges

For Shanita, compassion is paramount in her role as Wellness Director. “I absolutely love and adore the older population,” she says. “I have a passion for helping seniors and for helping families through a difficult time in their lives. One day we all will be in the position of requiring extra assistance as we age. I am happy to be one of the leaders in helping make sure the transition is much smoother for our residents.”

Managing the day-to-day operations of clinical aspects is just part of why Shanita enjoys her work as much as she does. “Serving as Wellness Director brings me closer to residents and their families, which I love the most.”

Shanita attended El Camino College and obtained her nursing license at Northwest College in California. She also has experience in home health nursing, as well as serving as a paralegal.

When she’s not serving others at Lumina Las Vegas, Shanita enjoys bike riding with her family, reading motivational books, cooking, and playing with her dog, Coco. A perfect vacation would be somewhere with plenty of sunshine, beaches, and adventure—think snorkeling, ATVs and zip lining.
