The best recipes have all the right ingredients. Like Lorena, who blends everything she loves into serving others at Lumina Las Vegas.

First, there’s memories of her cherished grandmother who “had all the answers for life.” Together, they would talk, window shop, play gin rummy with the family, and enjoy kitchen sink soup (everything but the kitchen sink). “Life was better with her in it,” says Lorena, who was drawn to Solera Senior Living’s passion to go above and beyond to help make life fun for those with dementia.

Then there’s her commitment to showing her teammates how great it is to work here. “Our team is our second family, and Lumina is our second home. Happy employees make Solera a great company.”

And don’t forget her extensive experience in the food and beverage industry. A self-described foodie, Lorena’s all-time favorite dish is her mothers’ mushroom chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. She enjoys Asian cuisine and loves working in Las Vegas, “the food mecca of the United States.”

In her free time, Lorena loves painting, dancing and singing karaoke, spending time with her husband and son, and of course, cooking and dining with them. A guilty pleasure is staycation in Las Vegas in a spa. Dream vacation? Toes in the sand in Hawaii.
